Systems Analyst

Location: West Salem Clinic - 1233 Edgewater Street NW, Salem OR 97304 (Not a Remote Position)

Job Status: Full-time, Monday-Friday

YOUR ROLE:

As a NextGen EHR Systems Analyst at Northwest Human Services you will be responsible for enhancing and optimizing our EHR system and associated reporting services. You will work closely with end users, management, and technical teams to ensure the efficiency and accuracy of our healthcare solutions.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

Collaborate with end users and management to gather requirements for EHR templates, stored procedures, and reporting.

Design and develop NextGen EHR templates, stored procedures, applications, and workflows.

Perform quality assurance to maintain the accuracy and integrity of EHR documents and reports.

Analyze and identify opportunities for process improvement across various areas of our organization, such as patient scheduling, workflow, and management.

Develop and maintain reports using Power BI and other relevant tools, focusing on clinical quality, provider productivity, patient wait time, and HRSA/CCO measures.

Provide technical support to staff, including troubleshooting IT systems and documenting solutions in the HelpDesk system.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience in software development with a focus on healthcare IT and NextGen EHR development.

Proficiency in programming languages and technologies relevant to EHR systems.

Strong knowledge of EHR templates, stored procedures, and healthcare data standards.

Experience with data analysis and reporting tools, including Power BI.

Problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare setting.

Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and healthcare data security.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience with NextGen EHR development or integration.

Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR.

Understanding of healthcare process improvement methodologies.
