Specialist 7) Job Description: This recruitment will be used to
fill two positions; one permanent and one limited duration, which
is scheduled to last one year from the date of hire. We will also

Services (DCBS) is a progressive business regulatory state agency

The department administers state laws and rules governing workers'
compensation, occupational safety and health, financial
institutions, insurance companies and building codes. The
department has consumer protection and education programs, offices,
and ombuds to help consumers, injured workers, and businesses.
These positions are with the Information Technology and Research
(IT&R) Section of the Central Services Division. IT&R
provides a broad range of specialized technical services in the
areas of information systems, data analysis/dissemination, and
computer/telecommunication services for a large, diverse agency.
The staff support the collection, processing, analysis, and
dissemination of statewide and regional data about workers'
compensation, accident prevention, insurance, financial
institutions, corporate securities, building codes, and senior
health insurance benefits. The section supports a number of
critical systems to meet the regulatory requirements for each
program and interact with other state and federal agencies. These

Consumer and Business Services' (DCBS) Information Technology and

senior systems analyst and developer is essential in achieving this
vision. Your expertise will be relied upon to deliver services in
the following ways: * Actively participate as a member of a diverse
and highly collaborative technical team that serves the Department.
* Provide technical, operational and maintenance expertise in
managing the lifecycle of various business applications and data
system components. * Oversee the resolution of operational
problems, including designing, reviewing, and/or approving
temporary workarounds. * Provide technical mentoring, advice and
guidance to peer System Support team members. Your input and
contributions will be essential to your team and your customers to
ensure quality and efficiency in technical solutions. * Plan and
facilitate testing, and train customers on new or enhanced software

Qualifications: * Six (6) years of information systems experience
with a combination of all the following; software operations and
maintenance, IT systems analysis and design, programming, business
analysis, and customer or IT system support; OR * An associate's
degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related
field, or completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational
training program in information technology or related field; AND
four (4) years of information systems experience with a combination
of all the following; software operations and maintenance, IT
systems analysis and design, programming, business analysis, and
customer or IT system support; OR * A bachelor's degree in
Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field AND two
(2) years of information systems experience with a combination of
all the following; software operations and maintenance, IT systems
analysis and design, programming, business analysis, and customer
or IT system support. OR * A master's degree in Information
Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Requested Skills: *
