Superior Tire Service invites you to join our award-winning team. We are looking to hire an individual who is passionate about supporting our dedication to increase the quality of service for our customers while upholding our commitment to quality and safety.What will you do as a Transportation and Safety Coordinator?Transportation administration, invoicing, logistics support, safety support, OSHA support, conduct safety evaluations, coordinate safety meetings.Safety and Tires: Able to lift up to 90lbs unassisted, support sales and customer service of retail tire sales as needed, knowledge of basic tires and automotive a plusTechnology: MaddenCo, Excel, and/or intermediate computer literacy. Training provided.In-house and Customer-facing administration, customer service, inquiries, telephones, walk-in support.Account Management Support: support the transportation and safety managers with day to day operations; support and enforce STS safety, transportation, documentation, and movement policies and procedures.Inventory Management: receive, process, reconcile, report, and coding of receivables in line with STS policies and proceduresPhysical movement of tires, fork lift operations; this is an office-based, warehouse and manufacturing position.Office Administration: Assess, order, coordinate all building and office supplies as neededGeneral Support: telephones, reception, back-up dispatching support, billing, and coordination of all maintenance on STS Fleet trucks/equipment.Safety and Standards: Operate all tools, equipment, building fixtures, and service trucks within the established safety protocols, appropriate use of PPE as required by local and state laws, accuracy in work and product applications and standards, maintenance of a safe and clean working environment, accurate timekeeping, maintain a punctual attendance, safety, and service standard.When/Where will you work?This role is based in our Salem, Oregon location. Remote working is not available for this role. Hours are: Monday - Friday 08:00-5:00pm, flexible to 06:00-2:30pm as business needs.Are you a good fit?Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred. Supplemental pay for bilingual ability.We are looking for outgoing, positive, enthusiastic, detail-oriented individuals with experience in administration, office management, retail automotive, and service industries. Ideally, you will have at least two years of customer service, retail, administrative experience. We provide complete training and support during on-boarding.We need someone who has basic computer skills including MS365/Office, email, and database software. With these, you will be writing basic reports, correspondence, and using manuals. Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment. Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, to assess and best support customer's needs, and partner with other team members as needed.Requirements: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong knowledge of MS Office 365 suite, a valid unrestricted driver's license, strong organization and administrative aptitude, problem solving skills, computer literate, successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.Supervision: This role has no direct supervision or reports. This role will report to the Transportation and Safety Managers.Physical Requirements and Working Environment: Ability to lift 50lbs unassisted, In role is office based, sitting for extended periods of time, stand, walk, use of hands, arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching as required.
