AESC is a small energy consulting firm with a collaborative and professional work environment. We are passionate about what we do and are looking for talented people who share our passion.We currently have an opening for an Energy Analyst to support energy efficiency programs in the Pacific Northwest, primarily the delivery of Strategic Energy Management (SEM). The primary goal of the position is to work with several commercial building owners and occupants to identify and implement strategies in the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of buildings resulting in energy savings. The position will also keep participants involved and accountable for actions leading to energy savings. Other responsibilities include whole building facility audits, energy analysis, and project development.The successful candidate will also demonstrate strong communication skills, excellent customer engagement skills, and intellectual curiosity beyond their core scope. The successful candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in the energy field.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide technical support to improve building system O&M within HVAC, lighting, boilers, and controls systems.
  • Conduct building inspections, energy audits, and gather data needed to perform energy-related analyses of buildings systems and equipment.
  • In a collaborative team environment, help facilitate conversations between customers and coach them on common best practices.
  • Utilize analysis tools to evaluate the performance of, and make recommendations for, energy systems and equipment.
  • Evaluate the energy use patterns for commercial buildings and recommend energy efficiency measures and renewable energy solutions.
  • Prepare written analysis of findings and recommendations for submittal to clients.
  • Interact closely with project managers and clients to meet project deadlines and budgets.
    • Minimum two (2+) years of experience in energy engineering or energy efficiency.
    • Bachelor of Science degree required, Engineering degree preferred.
    • Engineer in Training (EIT-FE) Certification preferred.
    • Basic understanding of measure-based energy analysis tools.
    • Experience identifying common O&M opportunities within building systems (HVAC, lighting, boilers, controls, etc).
    • Basic understanding of energy and indoor air quality codes and design standards ASHRAE 90.1, ASHRAE 62.1, etc.
    • Proficiency with data analysis using MS Excel.
    • Proficiency with other common computing applications for business (e.g. MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
    • Experience with Energy Modeling software (e.g. eQUEST, EnergyPro, EnergyPlus, TRACE 700, etc) is a plus
    • Ability to conduct fieldwork and interact with clients in a professional and responsive manner.
    • Must have reliable transportation, this position requires travel to customer sites.
