Aging and People with Disabilities, part of the Oregon Department of Human Services , is currently seeking candidates for our Training and Development Specialist 2 (Centralized Abuse Management Trainer) position located in Salem. What you will be doing : You will participate in business activities, analysis, planning, and development of ongoing training on behalf of OAAPI, ODDS and APD and be a primary trainer for the Centralized Abuse Management (CAM) system and CAM-Serious Incident training. You will be involved in ongoing efforts in accurate use of the CAM solution, as well as development of training curriculum in many different technical platforms. You will support and participate in the development of advanced technical training curriculums utilizing sound instructional design methodologies. Working conditions : Conducts training in classroom setting, hybrid learning environment, or virtual classroom. May have overnight travel, sometimes in inclement weather. Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Requires the transportation and setup of mobile training lab equipment (laptops, keyboards, mice, data cords, power strips, projector, etc.). Requires lifting and moving equipment weighting up to 55 pounds using unit established safety procedures and moving equipment with use of appropriate lift devises as available. QUALIFICATIONS, REQUIRED AND REQUESTED SKILLS : Only the candidates whose experience, as described in their resume and cover letter, most closely matches the qualifications and requested skills of this position will be invited to an interview. Qualifications : Five (5) years of experience designing and coordinating adult education courses or organizational development strategies. A Bachelor's degree in Education, Organizational Psychology, Business or Public Administration, Training and Development, Human Resources, Organizational Behavior or related field may substitute for three years of experience. Requested Skills/Desired Attributes The Most Competitive Candidates Will Have: Experience providing classroom and virtual training to adult learners. Experience in the creation of training materials, handouts and lesson plans including the complete development of content using subject matter experts and research. Experience evaluating training effectiveness and identifying needed changes to training curriculum and/or materials based on APD Policy. Experience using Adobe Captivate. Required for this position : Successful candidates for this position must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility. Due to CJIS requirements related to system access, the following convictions are likely to result in being disqualified for this position: Felony Convictions, Computer theft, identify theft and fraud.
