We are now hiring a safety support specialist to join our team in Salem! In this position you will provide technical and administrative assistance to the safety complaint resolution unit. Apply program specific knowledge and skills to proof and revise safety documents. Receive, review, and respond to incoming mail and faxes requesting information. Organize and maintain paper and electronic filing systems and records. Handle calls on a daily basis, answer multiple phone lines, screen and route calls appropriately. Perform receptionist duties such as: greeting and directing visitors to appropriate destinations, meetings, or appointments. Answer questions not requiring technical program knowledge. Working Conditions: High impact public contact in providing information to persons who are occasionally irate, confused, and/or frustrated. This position is subject to pressure deadlines and working with frequent distractions. This position is located in an office environment. What we need: Two years of general clerical experience, one year of which included typing, word processing, or other experience generating document. OR An associate's degree in office occupations or office technology. OR Graduation from a private school of business with a certificate in office occupations or office technology and one year of general clerical experience. College courses in office occupations or office technology will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. What we'd like to see: If you have these qualities, let us know!
