There is a current opening for a Blends Lead on
NIGHT SHIFT .
This position will perform a variety of tasks necessary for effective operations and training programs, provide support for other critical production programs & for the overall effectiveness of the blends team. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Oversee the processing of product through the entire blends process in accordance with internal and customer specifications while maintaining safety, throughput, yields and proper staffing.Exhibit, monitor and focus employees on a safety-first environment.Accurately complete and turn in daily paperwork including the daily production reports.Document activities through HACCP forms, sanitation checklists, yield, and daily production reports.Ensure 100% GMP and PPE compliance while on company property.Investigate and submit accident and/or incident reports prior to the end of the shift on which it occurred.Utilize an "Owner's Mindset" while leading and operating for cost savings and increased production throughput.Confirm employees (regular or contract temporary) are properly onboarded and trained before operating equipment.Ensure employees have a complete understanding of the operator accountability program.Train and develop employees on safe operation of equipment to maximize productivity in safety-first environment.Focus on positive team dynamics to minimize and/or resolve personnel issues promptly.Train and develop employees for success in their positions and the company.Perform duties as back-up Production Supervisor as needed. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or GED.Proven formal or informal leadership experience.Ability to routinely lift 50 pounds and occasionally over 50 pounds.Possess or able to obtain a forklift certificationKnowledge of GMP and HACCP, preferred.Ability to read and interpret various documents, including maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, including speaking effectively before customers or employees.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, of schedule form.Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English.
