Description/Qualifications:
Your Role With Us:You will play a key role in providing excellent
patient care by supplying help and support for physicians and
nurses throughout the endoscopy procedure while demonstrating the
ability to accept a variety of patient care and unit maintenance
assignments. -Core Functions: Accurately document pertinent patient
information using verbal, written and electronic communication
according to Endoscopy policy, procedures, standards and
timeframes.Perform under the direct supervision of the physician to
administer medications (intraductal, transmucosal, and within the
GI tract during the procedure at the direction of the physician and
according to SH policy; may serve in secondary assist role to
prepare medications.Responsible for performing safety checks to
verify proper equipment functioning.Participate in universal
protocol/time out process.Reprocess and maintain equipment
according to IFUs and infection prevention standards.
Background/Expertise:High school diploma or equivalent required.One
year of hospital or ASC medical procedural experience preferred in
Endoscopy Technician or comparable role. (i.e.Surgical Tech,
Sterile Processing Tech). Must have working knowledge of aseptic
technique.BLS from the American Heart Association required upon
hireMust complete and pass the SGNA Associates Program (GTS) within
6 months of hire.Must complete and pass the Advanced GI Technical
Program (AGTS) within one year of hire.We have many excellent
