Job Description:

The League of Oregon Cities (LOC) is the trusted, go-to resource to help Oregon city staff members and elected officials serve their cities well and speak with one voice.-- We support Oregon's cities by connecting city leaders and state legislators, advocating for cities' needs, sharing vital information, and helping build vibrant, resilient communities that Oregonians are proud to call home.
The LOC currently has a part-time Limited Duration Training Coordinator position open.-- This position is expected to last no longer than six months.-- The position is part time, with the person in the position working 25-30 hours per week.-- The position is required to be in the LOC office every Tuesday and Thursday, with an opportunity to work remotely for a portion of the schedule.
The Limited Duration Training Coordinator is fully trained on all the job duties listed below and regularly performs or assists with these job duties as directed by the Operations & Member Engagement Director.-- Any person meeting the minimum qualifications is strongly encouraged to apply.
Essential Job Duties include:
--- Schedules appropriate, timely and cost effective educational and networking events.-- May handle logistics associated with facilities and other accommodations.
--- Coordinates the work of conference and training planning committees and plays a role in format, content development, selection of presenters and planning of social events.
--- Supports the Operations & Member Engagement Director and Program Manager with leading an inclusive process with LOC staff and members to:

--------o Develop organization-wide education and training goals;

--------o Identify preferred methods, formats and techniques best suited to achieving identified goals; and

--------o Coordinate outreach and advertising about training and conferences with LOC publications.
--- Works with instructors/speakers to develop and provide contracts, course descriptions, and handouts/materials.
--- Monitors and maintains current registration information on the LOC web site and maintains and updates LOC databases.
--- Communicates with members, instructors, speakers and LOC staff regarding training and conference questions, registration/ workshop information, etc. via email and telephone.
--- Follows all safety rules and rules for work areas.

--- Demonstrates professionalism in communications, work habits, and attire; commitment to customer service and growth of the organization; a positive attitude; and regular office attendance.
--- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Depending on a person's qualifications, the salary range is between $30.70 per hour to $32.97 per hour.
