Communications and Content StrategistThe position can be located in our four Cambia states - OR, WA, ID or UTAt Cambia, our members need us more than ever, and to continue serving them, we need to be vaccinated. Please include a cover letter when applying for the position.The Communications and Content Strategist is responsible for developing communications strategy and content in support of company objectives and growth goals. This role will collaborate across the organization to create and curate engaging, audience-driven content and deliver strategic communications for target external and internal audiences, including members, policymakers, brokers, employers, Sales staff and the general public.The position works closely with various stakeholders - including Marketing, Sales, Corporate and Social Responsibility, project managers, technical support and external business partners (including media) - to create and maintain communication delivery channels, and support project and event deliverables as needed to help achieve organizational goals.Responsibilities:Develop, manage and disseminate communications strategy, content, pitches and campaigns in close collaboration with business partners; primary focus on Regence health plans, with additional support for Cambia and investment companies as needed.Provide communications best practices support and consultation, reporting and diagnostic work for specified initiatives while applying creative thinking and imaginative techniques to drive to innovative solutions for our business customers; integrate broader Regence/Cambia strategic communications and marketing campaigns into communications; manage tracking/overall performance metrics.Writes, researches and edits additional communications collateral as needed, including but not limited to digital content, talking points, message maps, news releases, fact sheets and presentations.Collaborates with internal departments and key external stakeholders to create enticing and innovative messages, consistent with business goals and objectives.Researches information, statistics and trends in the health care industry and applies knowledge and data to strategic messaging and creation of documents to convey messages to a variety of audiences; provides strategic counsel and research support to Strategic Communications team members and other internal business partners.Supports the creation, monitoring and enforcement of messaging consistency for key external issues.Identify and presents organizational, procedural, and operational changes to staff.Minimum Requirements:Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, research and organizational skills; experience writing in a variety of voices, including persuasive, informative and personal.Knowledge of health insurance preferred.Ability to coordinate activities with all levels of staff through clear, concise and compelling verbal and written communication skills.Ability to distill complicated, technical messages into consumer-friendly language.Ability to achieve results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with competing priorities and limited resources.Ability to maintain grace and good humor under pressure. Demonstrated analytical ability to identify problems, develop solutions and implement a chosen course of action.Demonstrated experience with project management methodologies and practices, specifically in leading cross-functional teams.Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other software.Normally to be proficient in the competencies listed aboveThe Communications and Content Strategist would have a Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Business or related field required and at least five years of professional writing, project management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
