Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Branch / Store Manager in Salem, OR.

Position Details

  • Reports to Senior Area Manager

  • 13 Associates and 6 Direct Reports


  • Provide leadership for the organization's customer-facing associates and branch functions

  • Manage a team with focus on customer service, policy and strategy implementation

  • Manager the overall operation of a branch location including hiring, discipline, and scheduling of employees to ensure cost effective and quality branch operations

  • Maintain inventories at adequate levels, promote sales, and maintain the appearance of the branch

  • Perform communication and motivational techniques in supervising, counseling, coaching and disciplining associates

  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety standards and adheres to all safety policies, rules, regulations and procedures

  • Develop and maintain customer relationships

  • Address and resolve customer complaints in a timely manner

  • Assist management in developing and communicating overall sales direction and market strategy

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors

  • Identify new product/business opportunities based on customer needs on an ongoing basis

  • Drives sales growth and profitability

  • Support Key Strategic Initiatives of the business unit to insure success


  • 2+ years leadership/management experience is required

  • Prior Plumbing experience is strongly preferred

  • Ability to lead and motivate individuals and teams

  • Ability to organize, prioritize, multi-task and effectively manage through stressful situations

  • Judgment and decision-making ability

  • Ability to interpret marketing reports, analyzing business groups, products, and customers

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)
