The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a 3M HIS Managed Services Operations Lead, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Lead cross team efforts to achieve strategic objectives through oversight of various client activities.

  • Implement agreed upon processes to ensure effective monitoring, control, and support of service delivery.

  • Determine the success of department business objectives by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and varying responsibilities.

  • Support account escalations when appropriate and provide executive client/3M leadership communication as needed.

  • Act as the client's central point of contact for managing client communication and expectations in relation to certain technical break/fix issues as well as critical service outages outside of non-standard business hours as needed

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited university OR High School Diploma/GED (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in Customer Support in lieu of the Bachelor's degree education requirement

  • Five (5) years of customer service experience

  • Five (5) years of technical support experience

  • Three (3) years of healthcare industry experience

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Functional knowledge of technical concepts - Networking, Server/client applications, Citrix, MS SQL, & IIS

  • Working knowledge of internal 3M HIS product portfolio

  • Exhibit excellent customer communication and management skills - written, verbal and in-person

  • Embrace a challenging and changing business and process environment

  • Creative in approach and not scared to get into the details and work hands on with the technology

  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Power Point

  • Understanding of health care industry, Health Information Systems environments, as well as interfaces (HL7, XML, etc.)

Location: Silver Spring, MD

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
