Opening Date: April 29, 2021 Closing Date: May 13, 2021 Job Title: Human Resources Clerk Salary/Wage: $16.13/hr. - $17.92/hr. Tribal Level 15 - 16 Location: Siletz, OR Classification: Full Time, Non-Exempt Job Posting Number: Introduction: This position is responsible for a variety of tasks related to administrative support services for the Human Resources Department. This position also provides administrative support for the Human Resources Manager. Maintaining confidentiality on all HR matters concerning employees and employment is required. Requirements: For persons selected at TL 15.0 - High school diploma/GED and one-year clerical experience and basic computer operation skills. Ability and willingness to obtain keyboarding skills. Incumbent who is hired at the entry level will be advanced to TL 16.0 after 12 months of successful employment and ability to meet the typing 45 WPM requirement. For persons selected at TL 16.0 - High school diploma/GED and two years clerical experience. Preferred experience with ABRA, Word, Publisher, Power Point and Excel. Must be able to type 45 WPM. For persons selected at TL 15.0 or TL 16.0: Knowledge of: Correct punctuation, capitalization, spelling, and grammar. Ability to: Work with the public, and maintain good working relations with co-workers. Other: Must be able to adhere to the confidentiality of information and individuals as described in the CTSI Operational Manual, Personnel Manual, Federal guidelines and well as HIPAA. Must possess a valid Oregon driver's license and be eligible to operate a GSA vehicle. Must be able to pass a criminal history background check. Duties: Answer multi-line telephone, route calls, and takes messages. Provide information and assistance to employment applicants. Process completed paperwork as required and enter data into ABRA System accurately and timely. Perform ABRA Maintenance as required. Run monthly reports and create reports in HR software. Set up and maintain electronic personnel files, medical files, I-9 files, soft files, and criminal history files in Laserfiche. Prepare active hard copy and/or electronic files for transfer to inactive archival storage. Maintain filing requirements as required by Federal guidelines. Prepare and type routine correspondences as requested by the HR Manager. Process, mails, employment applications, job announcements and related mailings. Process mass mailings. Monitor and replenish supply inventory. Order office supplies. Deliver/Pick up HR supplies (i.e. printing, engraving, etc.). Maintains temporary applicant pool list. Maintains job-opening boards for Casino, other tribal organizations, miscellaneous job opening board. Process unemployment claims. Track applicants and advertising data for monthly reports. Maintain training brochures binder. Provide back up and assistance to HR Assistant as necessary. Assists with the Safety and Employee Incentive committees. Maintain financial records, reconcile cuff accounts and process Human Resources bills. Other duties as assigned. All new employees will serve a six-month probationary period to enable the General Manger to determine their suitability as a tribal employee. After the six-month probation the employee will be evaluated of his/her performance and at that time, it will be, decided if the employee is entitled to a regular employee status.
