The Manager, Client Financial Services, is responsible for overseeing the processes and team involved in supporting the Pearson VUE business for Client Financial Services. This position works cross-functionally throughout the organization to build and maintain client-centric financial services. It requires an experienced, organized, and fully competent professional with ability to support the systems, processes, and team involved in providing billing, reporting, and reconciliations to our clients, test centers, and business partners. The position will partner with Program Management, Finance, Sales, Legal and others to provide financial support and guidance on existing and new client accounts, while managing a team of client financial analysts.

This "hands-on" role includes:

Providing subject matter expertise to business partners and VUE's clients which includes client and channel reporting, vouchers, discounting, and payment processing.

Maintain and foster close working relationships with key clients.

Work in collaboration with shared services to provide clients with accurate reporting, monthly financials and timely payments.

Identifying tools, techniques and practices that are business enablers and enhance improvements in system/performance for sustainability.

Manage client invoicing process ensuring client financial statements and settlements are handled accurately and timely, by contractual due dates leveraging the VUE Test System (VTS).

Oversee the VTS financial reconciliation system to ensure client fee schedules are accurately maintained in the financial reconciliation system per contractual fee schedules for VUE business.

Work with Business Development and Program Management during bid process for new contracts to ensure we deliver competitive financial services to our clients within our system capabilities (ie. global payments, reporting, tax collection).

Lead and provide support during the new client launches and changes in existing client programs

Support audit schedules and provide relevant documents to support internal, external and client audits

Expertise in understanding and ensuring the business processes under VUE's SSAE18 control structure are continually followed.

Develop, implement and maintain policies and procedures in regarding to client invoicing

Provide knowledge and support to team and Program Managers related to discount, vouchers, pre-paid/non-pre-paid programs

Oversee General Ledger activities for revenue recognition, liabilities and expenses related to client invoicing

Maintain team by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe, secure, and legal work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.

Key relationships

Partners with Business Development, Program Management, and Finance

Works alongside the business to ensure proper support of client financial needs are met.

Leverages Pearson Shared Services accounting to support client payments and receipts

Work in collaboration with the VUE Client Financial teams - UK, Japan, India, China, and others.

Working relationship with global tax team, VUE software development, and legal.

Qualifications

BA / or equivalent experience

5 years' experience managing/leading Finance teams.

Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

Understand the big picture while managing the day-to-day financial details

Ability to work and effectively communicate with senior-level business partners

Track record of adapting systems to respond to changing client demands and ability to drive process improvements to create internal efficiencies or improvements in customer experience

Strong organizational skills with track record of meeting deadlines

Make moderately complex decisions without guidance

Ability to work under pressure

Flexibility for change

Strong customer service skills

Global experience (preferred)

The anticipated starting salary range for Colorado-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $80K to $90K. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program.
