Job Summary: Mental Health Counselor (Licensed or Non-licensed)Mental Health Salem, Oregon Department **Mental Health** Employment Type **Full-Time** Minimum Experience **Experienced** Compensation **DOE** Northwest Human Services is a non-profit leader in providing advocacy quality healthcare and social services in Oregon since 1970. **We are currently seeking a Mental Health Counselor to join our team!** **YOUR ROLE AT NWHS** As one of our highly qualified Mental Health Counselors, you will provide trauma-informed, compassionate, and professional mental health counseling services to individuals, couples, families, and groups across a broad range of socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. You will assess the nature and extent of Mental Health challenges and Co-Occurring Disorders, and formulate a plan for service that addresses each individual's needs. This position is full time, 1.0 FTE 40 hours per week. The location for the position will be split between our West Salem Mental Health Clinic (0.8 FTE, 4 days per week) and our HOST Program (0.2 FTE, 1 day per week), both of which are located in Salem Oregon. **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS** + Master's degree in counseling, social work, and/or other degree in a related mental health field with eligibility for QMHP credentialing is required + Must have graduate course work in theory, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health disorders. + Must have experience working with persons who have mental health issues and those who are in emotional distress + Must demonstrate proficiency using DSM IV-TR, DSM V, and ICD-10 **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS** + Licensure as an LPC, LMFT, or LCSW in the state of Oregon is preferred + Experience working with youth and youth behavior, including youth experiencing homelessness is preferred + Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred **SUMMARY OF BENEFITS:** Northwest Human Services offers competitive wages and a generous benefits package to staff that work at least 32 hours a week or more.
