Join our Arches Program in supporting and advocating our residents as they work towards their goals! Make an impact in the lives of your community members. This position is located at Redwood Crossings, a permanent supportive housing program that provides affordable and stable housing to people experiencing chronic homelessness. The Resident Care Coordinator will provide case management services to the residents of Redwood Crossings Permanent Supportive Housing facility and will also provide support to other resident services staff. The Resident Care Coordinator will work collaboratively with program staff, Salem Housing Authority and other community partners to provide the necessary supports and advocacy to encourage positive tenancy by residents using a client centered, trauma informed approach. They will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships within social service networks; will be responsible for data tracking and compiling of reports. The staff member in this position must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule, including timely crisis response during nighttime hours.Candidates must apply by 04/25 to be considered for first-round interviews.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required of this position.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree or equivalent from four-year university or technical school and at least two years related social services experience which includes case management and program coordination and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with interagency program design and communication preferred.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Must possess basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel and customer service skills, including knowledge regarding email use/etiquette.Effective interpersonal communication skills, in both written and oral form. Demonstrates tact, diplomacy and empathy when communicating formally and informally with clients, staff and program partners. Must possess time management skills and be able to work with a sense of urgency. Bilingual English & Spanish capabilities are preferred, but not required. *Bilingual pay differential available for candidates upon successful completion of bilingual skills assessment.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS Candidate must pass a comprehensive MWVCAA background screening prior to employment.Valid driver license and insured vehicle available for use on the job with satisfactory drive record for the past three years.Must obtain Food Handlers Card.PHYSICAL DEMANDSSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Manual dexterity for handling office equipment.WORK ENVIRONMENT Occasional urgent situations requiring law enforcement involvement and/or paramedic professionals.Personally responsive to urgent situations, which could require travel for on-site interventions.Varying shift demands (day/eve/night) may require fluctuations in work schedule.Close quarters, often with a client population experiencing homelessness, substance use disorders, and/or severe and persistent mental illness, and/or unpredictable behavior.Occasional exposure to bodily fluids and malodorous air.Indoor work environment with frequent interruptions and demands.Exposure to trash and potential biohazards, as well as cleaning chemicals Potential risk of exposure to COVID-19 and other infectious conditions. PPE, face coverings may be required.COVID-19 Alert: This position includes performing essential services during the COVID-19 pandemic and potential exposure to others who may be infected with the virus.
