Job Description:

Sysco, a global leader in the food distribution industry, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Day Transportation Supervisor with a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) to oversee our daily transportation operations. In this role, you will be pivotal in ensuring efficient and safe delivery of food products to our diverse clientele including restaurants, healthcare facilities, and educational institutions. Your leadership will help maintain Syscos reputation for meeting customer satisfaction and logistical excellence. Coordinate and supervise daily logistics activities to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. Manage a team of drivers, scheduling shifts, and routes to optimize resource utilization and minimize downtime. Enforce compliance with company policies and legal regulations, maintaining a deep understanding of DOT regulations. Implement safety standards and protocols to reduce risks and enhance the security of drivers and cargo. Monitor vehicle maintenance and repair schedules to ensure fleet reliability and longevity. Address and resolve any issues related to transportation or compliance. Cultivate strong relationships with team members through effective communication and leadership. Conduct performance evaluations and implement strategies for professional development of drivers and logistical staff. Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent organizational and strategic planning abilities Proficiency in transportation management systems Effective communication and problem-solving skills Understanding of compliance and safety regulations in transportation Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required.
