Job Description:
Join Sysco, a leading global entity in food distribution, to
become part of our dedicated fleet that delivers food and related
products to our diverse and dynamic clientele including
restaurants, hospitals, and educational institutions. As a Class A
Driver, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the vitality of
our supply chain operations, ensuring timely and safe delivery of
goods across multiple locations. Operate a Class A commercial
vehicle for transporting food products to various client locations
both safely and efficiently. Ensure all deliveries and pickups are
completed on time while adhering to customer service standards and
route schedules. Perform vehicle inspections before and after each
trip, and report any maintenance or safety issues. Maintain
accurate logs of deliveries, vehicle movements, mileage, fuel
purchase, and other required documentation according to federal and
state regulations. Assist in loading and unloading of cargo,
ensuring that cargo is secure and within weight limits. Follow all
safety guidelines and standards, both on the road and during
loading and unloading procedures. Proficiency in managing time
effectively to meet deadlines. Strong knowledge of transport and
safety codes. Ability to operate electronic logging devices and GPS
systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Physical
fitness to perform rigorous loading and unloading tasks. Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid Class A
Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Department of Transportation (DOT) medical certification.
