What is the Role :
Sunrun is looking for an exceptionally skilled and motivated
Multi-Family Applications Developer to support, design engineering,
and operation tool and report building. Good candidates will be
data experts who can quickly identify and anticipate user needs,
leverage existing platforms, develop nimble and scalable solutions,
provide ongoing training and support to end users, and productively
solicit and incorporate feedback for future improvements.
Responsibilities
Build applications and features to suit, automate, and simplify
processes for internal and external engineering teams, reporting,
and system modeling.
Support efforts for reporting to external departments using data
generated by new and existing tools.
Maintain and extend the functionality of the design tool; including
electrical calculations, links to AutoCAD, PV system bill of
material generation, and external service links.
Troubleshoot, debug, and update reports and tools.
Support Internal and External Design tool user manuals
Work with the design management team to develop design standards to
reduce design complexity, timeline, and costs while still meeting
company, industry, AHJ, and utility standards.
Provide report and tool technical support for colleagues and
internal/external design teams.
Expertise in turning numbers into narratives and data into
decisions. Be the architect of data-driven strategies that propel
organizational success.
Evaluate areas of improvement in both tools and reports.
Develop and provide ongoing training and support to team members to
ensure optimal operation of tools and adoption.
Qualifications
2+ years of relevant experience (computer science, programming,
data analysis, and/or commercial solar)
Understand solar design and installation workflow and how to
streamline the process while maintaining predictable results
Experience generating and extracting reports from Salesforce.
Possess a creative mindset and the ability to think innovatively,
often beyond conventional boundaries, to solve complex
challenges
Hands-on experience in integrating third-party APIs, designing and
developing custom APIs, and managing API communications between
different systems and services.
Skilled in JavaScript, with expertise in DOM manipulation and a
thorough understanding of the JavaScript object model.
Ability to import, clean, transform, and analyze large datasets in
Excel and Google Sheets.
Strong capabilities in using Google Sheets and Excel for data
analysis, including functions, pivot tables, query language, and
integration with other Google Workspace tools.
Experience developing/programming end-to-end applications from the
ground up from user interface design, to database structures, to
application code
Demonstrate exceptional organizational abilities along with strong
skills in self-management and prioritization.
Experience with Google Sites, the Google Suite of applications
Familiarity with scripting languages like VBA (for Excel) or Google
Apps Script (for Google Sheets) to enhance data processing
capabilities.
Desire to work in a start-up culture; assistance in developing
processes and tools for a growing department
Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of residential, commercial, and multi-family system
designs
Detailed knowledge of PV system installation, designing, and
industry best practices
Knowledge of industry products from inverters, energy storage,
modules, racking, and other BOS electrical equipment
Detailed understanding of the National Electric Code and ability to
quickly interpret other governing codes related to solar
installations
NABCEP certification is a plus
Knowledge of AutoCAD drawing objects, block and dynamic block
creation, template generation and management, and other advanced
functionality
Eagerness to stay updated with the latest features and updates in
Excel, Google Sheets, and other relevant data analysis tools.

United States that warrant the compensation listed. Candidates in
locations outside this local area may have a different starting
salary range for this opportunity which may be higher or lower.

Starting salary/wage for this opportunity:
$73,476.90 to $97,969.20
Other rewards may include annual bonus eligibility, which is based
on company and individual performance, short and long term
incentives, and program-specific awards. Sunrun provides a variety

retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO). A
