Engineer supporting the Auto Portfolio for Products and
Underwriting within GRM US Technology, you will be part of a
growing team that is merging our foundational technology with
cutting edge modernization techniques. This role is responsible for
guiding technical direction, coaching and mentoring, providing
innovative insight, and advocating industry knowledge to deliver
customer-centric business outcomes for the platform. The technology
stack spans across many specialties, including: Java, AWS, Spring
Boot, Javascript, Tomcat, SQL & NoSQL, DB2, Kafka, Docker,

engineering experienceExtensive knowledge of software architecture,
contemporary frameworks, and emerging technologiesA comprehensive
understanding of agile environmentsA history of practicing DevOps,
CI/CD and building cloud-based applicationsA strong background in
business operations and strategies, including knowledge of
technology trends in the financial services industrySkillsSolid
negotiation, facilitation, consensus building and influencing
capabilitiesAbility to identify patterns and problems across teams
and deliver effective solutionsOpenness and adaptability to respond
to fast-moving circumstancesA design thinking and test-driven
development mindsetDemonstrated ability to teach and
mentorExcellent verbal and written communication skills, and an
aptitude for working in teamsKnowledgeExperience developing or
architecting cloud-based, responsive web applications using Java,
Spring Boot, Javascript/Typescript/Angular, and AWS
technologiesExperience across existing domains such as CFA, CFP,
CSW, Output, PA, Pricing, or PCA is highly desirableExperience with
refactoring and decomposing a monolithic architectureStrong
background in code reviewHigh-level proficiency with client-side
JavaScript frameworks, server-side frameworks, and NoSQL
databasesFamiliarity with event-based System of Engagement
architectures and integration with API exposing microservicesDeep
understanding of layered solutions and designsCognizance of
security concerns, from access control and authentication to
secured SDLC processesEducationA Bachelor's or Master's degree in a
