Job Description Job Description Position Title: Assistant Swim Coach Company: Gold's Gym PNW Golds Aquatics Club Position Type: Part-Time Job Summary Gold's Aquatics Club is seeking highly motivated and experienced individuals to join our team as a Swim Coach. As a Coach, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive training program for swimmers of all ages and skill levels. You will provide guidance, instruction, and support to athletes while fostering a positive and inclusive team environment. Qualifications Coaching Experience: 1-3 years previous coaching experience with a proven track record of success in developing swimmers at various levels. Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of swimming techniques, training principles, and competitive strategies. Bold Leadership: Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and inspire athletes. Collaboration: Excellent communication, oral and written, and interpersonal skills, with a heavy emphasis on listening. Certification: Current certification in Lifeguarding, CPR, AED and First Aid, and USA Swimming (or willingness to obtain upon hiring). Technical Excellence: Familiarity with Team Unify, Meet Management software, and USA Swimming rules (if applicable). Availability: Work flexible hours, required evenings and weekends. Responsibilities Exemplary Leadership: Conduct regular practice sessions and provide on-deck coaching. Team Player: Work closely with head coach and other coaches for consistent coaching and program implementation. Goal Setting: Guide and support swimmers in setting and achieving ambitious goals, implementing effective training plans for swimmers' improvement. Mentorship: Evaluate swimmers' progress and provide individualized feedback. Event Coordination: Assist in planning and coordinating home swim meets. Master Communicator: Communicate regularly with swimmers, parents, and club management. Ongoing Improvement: Stay updated with the latest coaching techniques and trends. Employee Excellence: Adhere to club policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Physical Requirements/Environment Must be able to work in a wet environment with occasionally high noise levels. Must be able to move frequently through all areas of the pool deck. Your shifts include continuous engagement and interaction with swimmers and team members. Must be able to work evenings and weekends, with occasional travel to team events. Daily duties include lifting, squatting, bending, reaching, spotting, remaining in a stationary position for extended periods of time, and moving for prolonged periods of time. Required to demonstrate or explain proper physical activities, techniques and procedures. Note: This is a general description, and actual requirements may vary. Onsite work only.
