Job Description Job Description: When you join us, you’ll become a part of a nationally recognized health system dedicated to our mission of “helping people live the healthiest lives possible.” About this role: As a MIGS Surgeon with Intermountain Health you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. This is a new position, joining an established MIGS surgeon within a general OBGYN clinic. Clinic and OR are located on Alta View Hospital campus in Sandy, Utah. Alta View Hospital is a 59 bed level IV Trauma Center, home to Da Vinci XI Robotics, and the winner of a Best Hospitals Women's Choice Award for Minimally Invasive Surgery. This MIGS Surgeon will focus their practice in complex benign gynecological surgery. Weekly schedule will typically include 2 days in clinic and 2 days in the OR. Available block time in the OR, with 24/7 physician anesthesia coverage, APP suport and two Da Vinci Robot XI Surgical Systems on site. Personal practice call will be split between the two partners, however first call is always taken by Healthy Answers experienced RNs. After hours contact is minimal. You'll also average 3 call shifts per month covering unassigned gyn patients in the Emergency Department. ED call activation is compensated. No obstetric care required. As a part of Intermountain Health, you'll join a vast network of women's health specialists, including OB/GYN generalists, MFM, Gynecologic Oncology, Complex Family Planning, Urogynecology, and Midwifery. Within the area there is also a complement of allied support services, including pelvic floor physical therapy, advanced imaging services and interventional radiology, and surgical subspecialists such as colorectal surgery and urology. Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery) Unrestricted Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain an unrestricted license Basic Life Support Provider Certification (BLS) Ability to successfully complete Intermountain’s credentialing process Life in Salt Lake Valley: The Salt Lake Valley is the heart of the state of Utah, which is one of the fastest growing states in the country.
