Job Description Job Description Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2 years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Assist surgical teams by preparing and maintaining sterile environments in the operating room to ensure smooth, efficient surgical procedures. This contract role is based in Hood River, OR, a community known for its stunning Columbia River views, rich local culture, and vibrant downtown filled with restaurants and bakeries. Key Responsibilities: Prepare surgical cases by assembling and managing sterile instruments, supplies, and medications Maintain a sterile field and assist surgeons by passing necessary tools during operations Perform instrument, sponge, needle, and blade counts in collaboration with Registered Nurses Clean and sterilize equipment and operating areas following procedures Transport patients according to unit priorities and provide clerical support as needed Maintain accurate inventory of surgical supplies and review specialty equipment regularly Desired Qualifications: Completion of an accredited surgical technology program (required) Certification as a Surgery Technician and CPR/BLS certification (required) High school diploma or GED preferred; associate or technical degree an advantage Previous experience as a scrub technician or in an operating room environment preferred Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is a plus Location Insight:Hood River offers an exceptional quality of life with breathtaking scenery along the Columbia River Gorge.
