Medical Assistant - MEDICAL FORENSIC at Providence Non-RN - Oregon summary: The Medical Assistant II provides clinical support under the supervision of licensed practitioners, performing tasks such as obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration in a medical forensic setting. Candidates must have formal medical assistant training or equivalent experience, BLS certification, and relevant healthcare experience. Description The Medical Assistant (MA) II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for assigned clinic/location of work. Required Qualifications: Coursework/Training - Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants or, Coursework/Training - Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program or, Coursework/Training - Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces or, Coursework/Training - Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration. National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire. 6 months - Healthcare experience. 6 months - Medical Assistant experience.
