Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 2 years License: Oregon RN license preferred; pending is acceptable Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred Must-Have: Epic Charting experience Previous Charge Experience: 2 years Travel Experience: Yes Current certifications and a copy of the license required Description: The position is for an Operating Room Registered Nurse. The RN will work day shifts with 4x10-hour scheduling. The RN will be responsible for providing care in the operating room setting. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience. BLS certification is required, and ACLS certification is preferred. First-time travelers are allowed to apply. The RN will be involved in various surgical procedures. The role requires experience with various surgical skills and knowledge of infection control protocols. Awareness of safety standards and the ability to adhere to established protocols is essential. Flexibility to cover weekend and call shifts is necessary. Candidates must be able to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams. Support services include IV teams and rapid response teams. Nurses will care for patients of all ages, from adolescents to geriatrics. The unit provides a range of services, including orthopedic, neuro, cardiovascular, general, urology, and gynecological procedures. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in handling specimens and utilizing surgical equipment. Floating to other units may be required based on needs.
