per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession:
Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: 1 year of
experience within the last 3 years in
Medical-Surgical/Telemetry/PCU (PCU and neuro stepdown experience
preferred) License: Oregon RN license not required at the time of
submission, pending license accepted. Certifications: BLS required
ACLS preferred NIHSS preferred Must-Have: Experience with telemetry
Management of telemetry Interpretation of cardiac rhythms
Non-invasive airway management Peripheral line care and management
Rapid response team activation Management of dysrhythmias
Computerized documentation experience Oxygen protocol Description:
The position requires a Registered Nurse in a Progressive Care
Unit. The nurse will care for patients with a variety of brain or
nervous system disorders. Expect the nurse to have experience with
managing cardiac drips like nitro, Cardizem, amiodarone, and
Nicardipine. The typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:3-4. A nurse
will float if needed to meet facility needs. The nurse will be part
of a multidisciplinary team that includes IV teams, physical
therapy, and respiratory services. The unit focuses on providing
outstanding patient care. The ideal candidate will have experience
with dysrhythmia management and rapid response activation.
Experience with NG tube placements and lumbar drains is also
