Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience:
Minimum of 18 months previous experience in a large hospital
License: Active RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS
Must-Have: Epic EMR experience Must-Have: 2 years of IV start
experience Must-Have: Telemetry skills Must-Have: Conscious
sedation experience Must-Have: Ventilator management experience
Description: This position requires an experienced ICU RN. The role
involves working in a general ICU/PCU division with floating
between units as needed. Shifts are 12 hours at night, from 19:00
to 07:30. The start date is January 5th or later only. Candidates
should have previous charge experience. Charting experience with
Epic EMR is essential. The patient ratio is typically 1:2 or 1:1
during shift hours. Common patient diagnoses include sepsis,
respiratory failure, traumatic brain injuries, and multi-system
organ failure. Candidates should be skilled in blood product
administration and care of ventilated patients. Additional skills
include arterial line management, procedural sedation, and
management of dysrhythmias. The role may require floating to other
designated units or hospitals nearby. This position involves caring
for adults within the intensive care setting. Travelers should be
prepared to assist with weekend shifts based on unit needs.
