Experience the vibrant culture and scenic beauty of Oregon's Willamette Valley while working in one of the top Oregon healthcare jobs./n /n/nPCU RN Travel Job Details/n /n - Location: Salem, Oregon (97301) – Access to outdoor recreation, local wineries, and a lively downtown/n - Unit: Neurotrauma Care Unit (NTCU), 30 beds/n - Assignment Type: Travel nursing contract/n - Start Date: January 5, 2026/n - End Date: April 6, 2026/n - Duration: 13 weeks/n - Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 3 shifts/week (36 hours/week)/n - Estimated Weekly Salary: $1700-$1820/n - Patient Ratios: RN 1:3-4/n - Charting System: Epic/n - Scrub Color: Royal Blue/n - Free Parking/n /n/nPCU Registered Nurse Qualifications/n /n - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; pending Oregon RN license accepted at submission/n - Minimum 1 year of recent experience (within the last 3 years) in Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing/n - Neuro stepdown and PCU experience with NIHSS certification preferred/n - Current BLS certification (AHA required)/n - Proficiency in telemetry, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and management of cardiac drips (e.g., nitroglycerin, Cardizem, amiodarone, Nicardipine)/n - Experience with Epic electronic health record (EHR) system/n - Non-invasive airway management and rapid response team activation experience/n - Peripheral IV line care and management/n - Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols/n - Willingness to float within scope, including to West Valley Hospital/n - No first-time travelers/n /n/nPCU RN Responsibilities/n /n - Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with neurotrauma and neurological conditions (e.g., stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal injuries, brain tumors, meningitis, encephalitis, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease)/n - Monitor and interpret telemetry and cardiac rhythms; manage cardiac drips and respond to rapid response/code situations/n - Perform non-invasive airway management and provide care for patients with lumbar/CSF drains, feeding tubes, and specialized equipment/n - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV therapy, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, and pharmacy/n - Document patient care accurately using Epic EHR/n - Float to other units or affiliate hospitals as needed to support patient care/n - Maintain strict compliance with infection control and isolation protocols/n /n Apply now to join our dedicated healthcare team and take the next step in your travel nursing career with this rewarding PCU RN job in Salem, Oregon!
