Responsibilities Work in a Cardiovascular Care Unit with a blend of 18 CVICU and 12 CVIMCU beds Patient population includes cardiac, surgical cardiac, thoracic, vascular, acute coronary syndrome, and electrophysiology cases for patients aged 16 and older Responsibilities involve care of post-cardiac arrest, heart failure, cardiothoracic surgery (CABG, Valve repair/replacement, VATS/thoracotomy), IABP therapy, Impella, post PCI, pacemaker insertion, ablation, arrhythmia, STEMI/NSTEMI, EKOS, and advanced cardiac procedures Floating is required between CVICU, CVIMCU, and nearby sister hospitals 12 hour night shifts from 1900 to 0730, with options for either 36 or 48 hours per week Use of Epic EMR is mandatory Expect to provide specialized care for complex cardiovascular and critical care patients Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team is a core component of this role A robust training program is available covering beginner to advanced cardiac care, including procedures like IABP, CRRT, targeted temperature management, and VAD Strict RTO rules: requested time off must be declared upon submission and cannot be changed later First time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers Dress code includes wearing scrubs Requirements Active OR RN license required (no pending licenses accepted) Minimum of 2 years of CVICU, ICU or PCU nursing experience Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Telemetry skills and experience are mandatory Epic charting experience required CCRN certification preferred COVID vaccination required with no exemptions Applicants must have been absent from the facility for at least 6 months if returning as a traveler Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-618956.
