Your Role With Us:Salem Hospital, a not-for-profit Level II Trauma
facility, and Oregon's largest community hospital upon newly
completed expansion has over 600 beds and is home to the busiest ER
on the West Coast.Our collaborative team is seeking a Physician
Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Vascular Surgery
program in a full-time capacity. The Advanced Practice Provider for
Salem Health Vascular Surgery is responsible for providing medical
care under the supervision of a physician/surgeon and provider
leadership support to the other APPs within vascular surgery.
Our patients receive comprehensive medical services through our
robust and engaged multi-specialty medical group consisting of more
than 250 providers who are focused on enhancing the patient
experience and providing high levels of care coordination. The
vascular surgery clinics located in the heart of our expansive

Best of the Mid-Valley" awardsYou may be a qualified Nurse
Practitioner (NP) if you:
- Satisfactory completion of a Nurse Practitioner Program
recognized by the Oregon Board of Nursing specific to the expanded
specialty
- Possess a Master's Degree or higher in Nursing, or in a field
deemed to be equivalent by the Oregon Board
- of Nursing.
- Hold a current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the
State of Oregon, required.
- Hold a current, unencumbered Certificate as a Nurse
Practitioner through the Oregon State Board of Nursing,
required.
- Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the American
Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or an equivalent
Medicare/Medicaid approved certifying body, or be actively seeking
certification and obtain the same in the specialty area requested
within two (2) years of employment start date.
- Have or will obtain RNFA license within six (6) months of
employment date.
- Current DEA certification.
- Current ACLS certification and ATLS certification within 6
months of employment start date.
- At least 12 months relevant hospital experience in the expanded
specialty area during the past three (3) years, required.
- If the Nurse Practitioner does not have the relevant hospital
experience and cannot otherwise document current competency, a
monitoring plan may be required.You may be a qualified Physician
Assistant (PA) if you:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Documented graduation from a PA program accredited by the
Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician
Assistant (ARC-PA) or its predecessors, e.g., CAHEA, CAAHEP.
- Pass the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination
(PANCE).
- One to two years of experience as a surgical Physician
Assistant preferred
- Certified by the National Commission on Certification of
Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Current PA license in good standing with the Oregon Medical
Board.
- Current DEA certification.
- Current ACLS certification Salem Health Hospitals and Clinics
