POSITION SUMMARY:
This role is a key position in Azek's commitment to use recycled material in all of our products. Recycling is central to all of our products and everything we do. We are a rapidly growing, $800M+ publicly held company (NYSE: AZEK) and our stated goal is to recycle 1 Billion pounds of material in the next 5 years, by end of 2026. To help achieve goal we are expanding our production capacity at existing plants and building a new plant as well. We are seeking 2-3 talented process engineers with experience and expertise with grinders, pulverizers and recycling operations generally, with an eye and a passion for continuous improvement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Monitor operations and analyze performance of the plastics plant including quality, instantaneous throughput, and equipment run time.
• Work closely with the operations, maintenance, and project engineering teams to direct process improvement projects, minimize downtime and improve efficiency of the plant.
• Provide daily technical support to the recycling processes including directing mechanical repairs.
• Direct and focus our maintenance efforts to improve efficiencies.
• Design equipment/process improvements and lead their implementation.
  POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 3-7 years' experience in industrial process engineering, preferably in plastics recycling and/or
  • Strong industrial and technical capabilities and problem-solving skills are a must.
  • Some formal training in statistical process control and analytics
  • Experience maintain and operating plastics size reduction and extrusion machinery
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Excellent collaboration and people skills, as well as ability to work independently.
