Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required. A full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity is available at a K-12 school in McMinnville, OR, with a contract duration through June 5, 2026. This onsite role offers a dynamic work environment supporting diverse student populations with specialized needs. There are six openings across various grade levels and program types, including: 2 Elementary Developmental positions serving 15 students each, supported by 6 assistants, focusing on behavioral, ASD, and communication needs 1 Elementary Behavior position (Grades 3-5) with 16 students and 5 assistants 1 Middle School Resource role overseeing 40 students with 2 shared assistants 1 Elementary Resource role covering two sites located 2 miles apart, serving 35 students with 1 assistant per building 1 Middle School Behavior position with 15 students and 5 assistants Key responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students unique needs Collaborate with instructional assistants and staff to support behavioral and academic goals Maintain accurate records and communicate progress with families and multidisciplinary teams Create a supportive learning environment that fosters student growth and independence Qualifications: Active Oregon Special Education certification/license is required Proven experience working with students with behavioral challenges, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and communication needs is highly valued Candidate must provide contact information for most recent supervisor reference for consideration This full-time position requires a 37.5-hour work week and is strictly onsite.
