• Collaborate on the design of quality documentation that adheres to a common language and style guide
• Work closely with developers, other writers, and our software to learn about complex technical concepts
• Write about complex technical concepts in official documentation that goes out to more than 30,000 companies
• Learn from experienced technical writers and software developers when you get stuck on difficult problems
• Learn about the agile software development process and how to actively contribute as a technical writer
• Create, improve, and proofread technical documentation in a Docbook XML environment
• Collaborate with your fellow colleagues within a relaxed yet productive team cultureRequired Qualifications:
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A passion for technology and learning software products
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Eagerness to learn from and teach others
  • Ability to work independentlyAdditional Assets:
    • Currently enrolled in a Computer Science degree, or in an English Literature, Rhetoric and Professional Writing degree or equivalent
    • Any professional writing experience (academic or industry)
    • Intern or other industry experience with software or developer documentation
    • Previous experience with authoring tools, such as Oxygen Editor
    • Familiarity with XML, scripting, or programming languagesRange and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated location(s)California Pay Range: from $26.59 to $51.73 per hour; from $55,300 to $107,600 per annum. May be eligible for equity.Colorado Pay Range: from $25.10 to $46.59 per hour; from $52,200 to $96,900 per annum. May be eligible for equity.New York City Pay Range: from $25.10 to $49.18 per hour; from $52,200 to $102,300 per annum. May be eligible for equity.Washington Pay Range: from $28.08 to $49.18 per hour; from $58,400 to $102,300 per annum.
