Department of Revenue (DOR) Position: Administrative Specialist 2 (AS2) Location: 955 Center St NE, Salem, OR 97301 Salary Range: $3117.00-$4514.00 On May 16, 2019, Governor Kate Brown signed House Bill 3427 into law. The legislation established a 'Fund for Student Success' that is separate and distinct from the state's general fund. It also adopted a new Corporate Activity Tax (CAT) imposed on all types of business entities. Revenue from the CAT will be transferred to the Fund for Student Success and will be used for education spending . The Department of Revenue is recruiting for several Administrative Specialist 2 positions to support this exciting new tax program! We are looking for motivated individuals who are detail oriented to join our NEW Corporate Activity Tax section. These positions will be located in our Salem office. These are full-time , SEIU represented positions. This recruitment may be used to fill itional vacancies as they occur in Salem. Performs technical and administrative support for the Corporate Activity Tax section, to both internal and external customers Handles complex and non-routine issues from lower level staff Reviews and responds to written objections from taxpayers Processes suspended original or amended returns requiring research of higher level issues, utilizing multiple programs, and working with various agency staff Advises management of changes needed in processing or policies as they arise For a complete position description contact Ashlie Ulstad at ************************ or ************. Administrative support includes those duties beyond clerical/secretarial such as: interpretation of laws, rules, and regulations; administrative data collection and analysis; and evaluation of projects, processes, and operations OR an equivalent combination of training and experience. One year of post-secondary education may be substituted for up to one year of the experience.
