The primary purpose of this position is to provide receptionist services and clerical support for the Salem office.This position is part-time, 25 hours per week, 10:00am " 3:00. This is a SEIU represented position. The annual salary range for this position is $18,802 - $22,882 (this salary range has been prorated based on 25 hours per week).Oregon State Treasury (OST) is led by Tobias Read, State Treasurer, a constitutional officer and statewide elected official.-- OST is an organization with a wide range of financial responsibilities, including managing the state's pension fund, issuing all state debt, and serving as the central bank for state agencies.-- OST manages the daily investment of approximately $100 billion in assets, held in a diversified investment portfolio of domestic and international equities, fixed income securities, alternative and opportunistic investments, real estate and cash.-- OST also manages a banking program that processes over $250 billion in transactions annually, a debt management program responsible for issuing and monitoring approximately $10 billion in state debt, a multi-faceted 529 savings plan, and an IRA based retirement savings program for the public.   • Maintain the reception area;
  • Greet reception guests upon arrival, determine nature of business, and notify appropriate personnel of guest arrival;
  • Answer incoming telephone calls, determine purpose, and forward calls to appropriate personnel;
  • Receive, sort, and distribute deliveries and mail;
  • Manage the office supply orders; and
  • Other clerical duties. Benefits of Joining OST

Minimum QualificationsYou must have the following to qualify for this position:
      • Completion of courses or training in Office Technology; OR
      • One year of general clerical experience which included typing, word processing, or other generation of documents; OR
      • An equivalent combination of training and experience. Desired Attributes
        • This position provides reception coverage, therefore regular and predictable attendance and punctuality is an essential function and a must;
        • Professional work experience as a Receptionist;
        • Attention to detail, such as accuracy, spelling, grammar, document formatting, and data entry;
        • Professional work experience with greeting reception guests, and answering incoming telephone calls;
        • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially with Outlook, Word, and Excel;
        • Professional work experience with copying, faxing, creating and organization documents, and organizing and maintaining files;
        • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; and
        • Adaptable and flexible.
