Description:Position Summary:Our company is seeking an
experienced individual to join our team as an Accounting and Human
Resources Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's
degree in human resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or
a related field, along with experience in bookkeeping practices and
procedures.The successful candidate will be responsible for
reviewing accounts payable invoices, processing routine payments,
and responding to vendor inquiries. Additionally, the individual
will be responsible for processing payroll, generating payroll
reports, and preparing monthly inventory control reports.The
Accounting and Human Resources Specialist will also be responsible
for accounts receivable functions, including preparing and
submitting invoices, maintaining customer files, and reconciling
accounts with the Collections Manager.Administrative duties include
answering and transferring phone calls, greeting visitors, and
maintaining filing systems. The successful candidate will also be
responsible for reviewing, tracking, and documenting compliance
with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education,
and work assessments.Human resources duties include recruiting and
hiring qualified job applicants, administering and executing human
resource programs, and maintaining compliance with employment laws
and regulations. The individual will also attend and participate in
disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.The
successful candidate will possess excellent communication,
interpersonal, and customer service skills. Proficiency in
Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software programs, along with
the ability to operate office equipment, is required. The ideal
candidate will also possess strong organizational, analytical, and
problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a

Responsibilities: None.Accounting Duties/Responsibilities: Reviews
accounts payable invoices, assigns vendor numbers and similar
identifying data, and confirms correct accounting codes were used.
Enters vendor information into accounting software system; verifies
that invoice information is entered correctly. Issues payments to
vendors as approved. Processes routine monthly payments as
approved. Answers vendor questions by researching accounts.
Processes payroll and performs all associated tasks. Generates
monthly payroll reports for management. Prepares monthly inventory
control reports. Performs other duties as assigned. Prepares,
posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions
related to accounts receivable. Creates invoices according to
company practices; submits invoices to customers. Maintains and
updates customer files, including name or address changes, mergers,
or mailing attentions. Drafts correspondence for standard past-due
accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by
reviewing files, and contacts delinquent accountholders to request
payment. Creates reports regarding the current status of customer
accounts as requested. Researches customer discrepancies and
past-due amounts with the assistance of the Collections Manager and
other staff. Collaborates with the Collections Manager to reconcile
accounts receivable on a periodic (at least bimonthly) basis.
Assists in generating monthly billing statements based on the
general ledger. Assists Accounting Manager in reconciling revenue
accounts each month. Copies, files, and retrieves materials for
accounts receivable as needed. Relays changes of information to
appropriate employees.Administrative Duties/Responsibilities:
Answers and transfers phone calls, screening when necessary.
Welcomes and directs visitors and clients. Maintains filing systems
as assigned. Retrieves information as requested from records,
email, minutes, and other related documents; prepares written
summaries of data when needed. Responds to and resolves
administrative inquiries and questions.Human Resources
Duties/Responsibilities: Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance
with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education,
and work assessments. This may include safety training,
anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude
exams and certifications. Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the
hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates
with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies
required for openings. Implements new hire orientation and employee
recognition programs. Performs routine tasks required to administer
and execute human resource programs including but not limited to
compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes
and investigations; performance and talent management;
productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and
safety; and training and development. Handles employment-related
inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring
complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. Attends
and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations,
and investigations. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and
local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best
practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes,
and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and
employment law. Performs other duties as assigned.Required
Skills/Abilities: Basic understanding of bookkeeping practices and
procedures. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Proficient in
Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other
accounting software programs. Ability to operate related office
equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier.
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with
customers. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize
tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Ability to act with
integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.Education and
Experience:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business
Administration, Accounting, or a related field required.
